The Mardi Gras Costume Ball & Contest is the only fund raiser produced annually by the Hot Springs Jazz Society. Proceeds support scholarships for high school student musicians to attend the UAM Summer Jazz Camp as well as free and educational concerts such as the America’s Art Form winter series at the Garland County Library and the annual JazzFest’s outdoor concert Jazz in the Streets. A luxurious Silent Auction will be expertly presented to tempt with Steven Kirsch personally picking out a singularly extraordinary piece of fine jewelry to raffle. The royal court includes Queen and King, Sunny Evans and Richard Stevens with their Duke and Duchess, Don & Dana Gooch. You’ll see juggling and belly dancing, elaborate costumes to rival any Mardi Gras in New Orleans and spend the evening dancing on the largest dance floor in Hot Springs.
