Wildwood Park for the Arts kicks off the 2017 Art in the Park exhibition series with works by three young printmakers. Arkansas artists Miranda Young, Daniella Napolitano, and Sarah Burns will explore the natural world and its many configurations through various printmaking techniques and styles in the winter Art in the Park exhibit, Nature in Print: Arkansas Printmakers Exploring the Natural World. Miranda Young’s bold large-scale monotype prints and colorful 3D sculptures create abstract meditations on the spiritual and emotional meanings that humans place on animals. Daniella Napolitano’s childhood fascination with nature and animals is evident her sometimes-exaggerated prints of animals in action. Nature as words is the inspiration for Sarah Burns’ shadowy linocuts of various trees. “Nature in Print” will open February 24 and close April 9, 2017. Open reception is March 2, 6 pm - 8 pm. It's a free public event sponsored by Boulevard Bread Co.
