Your Little Rock Trojans are headed to the NCAA Tournament so I'm sure we're all ready to dream big on our brackets and root for the home town team.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock men's team secured the bid to college basketball's national championship tournament this weekend. Little Rock handily put away the University of Louisiana-Monroe squad 70-50 to win the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. UALR last won the Sun Belt title in 2011.

Arkansas is halting its effort to craft and implement a plan to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan.

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and Arkansas Public Service Commission said in a statement on Tuesday that stakeholder meetings will cease as a result of last month’s U.S. Supreme Court decision to stay the EPA’s plan to reduce carbon emission to curb climate change.

Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio is campaigning in Little Rock Sunday, one day after his second place finish in South Carolina's primary. Pundits predict Bush's exit from the race, following a 4th place showing, could help establishment-friendly Rubio or John Kasich. But it likely won't alter the Arkansas political dynamic heading into the March 1 primary.

There was an exchange between Republican presidential candidates Jeb Bush and John Kasich at the South Carolina debate last weekend about Medicaid expansion that illustrates what Governor Asa Hutchinson was talking about in his press conference yesterday.

Hutchinson said continuing some form of coverage for 250,000 low-income people (the Affordable Care Act enabled funds for this new population) does not mean that Arkansas Republicans at the state level want the ACA to be the federal healthcare law. He still, as he has always said, opposes it.

A few more Arkansas endorsements are on deck for Republican presidential contender Marco Rubio. A press release from the campaign said an event at the Capitol on Tuesday will "announce a growing list of support from Arkansas lawmakers."

Support from some of the state's most prominent elected officials has yet to be secured after former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee dropped out of the race following a 9th place Iowa finish.

In a rare bi-partisan moment the U.S. Senate - or all but one member - was prepared to take a step on Thursday to change part of the nation's juvenile justice system. President Obama's State of the Union address in January harped on criminal justice as an area where common ground might be found.

The congressional news site Roll Call has an account of U.S. Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas ruffling the feathers of Democrats and Republicans alike.

This week Governor Asa Hutchinson rolled out another tool in his Arkansas boosterism arsenal unveiling the branding campaign "Arkansas Inc." He has about 180 years of a contradictory image to compete with but he intends to join former governors Charles Brough (champion of the early Wonder State moniker) and Winthrop Rockefeller in trying to do so.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is out of the Republican presidential primary and now his many endorsements from home-state officials are up for grabs before the March 1 Arkansas primary.

Huckabee came in 9th at the Iowa caucus with 1.8 percent of the vote. Is it too early to pick through the bones of Huckabee’s failed bid? For what it’s worth...

Most of his supporter list said it’s premature to endorse a new candidate. But Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin, while withholding a formal endorsement, heaped praise upon Marco Rubio during an interview with KUAR.

We'll find out in a few hours just how premature it is to be considering Hillary Clinton's VP but one heavily-speculated about candidate's brother is headlining a campaign kick-off for two northwest Arkansas legislative candidates a few days after the Arkansas primary.

There are some serious discussions at Yale University about renaming a residential college after Roosevelt “Rosey” Thompson, a Little Rock native, former Central High School student body president and aide to then-Governor Bill Clinton. Thompson died tragically in an automobile accident in 1984 at the age of 22.
