Laurie Pierce

Development Associate

As Development Associate, Laurie Pierce helps obtain corporate support for UALR Public Radio. She works with foundations, corporations and businesses who are interested in underwriting public radio programming. 

Laurie has a journalism background and spent 13 years with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. 

A native of Houston, Texas, Laurie earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. She has resided in central Arkansas since 1990 and is thrilled to be rearing her sons in Little Rock. James Richard attends Central High, and Robert attends Pulaski Heights Middle School. Laurie is a Pulaski County Master Gardener, a member of Little Rock Metro Rotary and a student at the UALR College of Business working toward a baccalaureate degree in marketing.

Public Radio Invites You To The 2013 Arkansas Literary Festival

10th Annual Arkansas Literary Festival

KUAR FM89 and KLRE Classical 90.5 invite you to join the stations of UALR Public Radio for the 10th annual Arkansas Literary Festival, Arkansas's premier gathering of readers and writers. The festival features more than 80 authors from Arkansas and around the world.

The Arkansas Literary Festival has expanded to more than 80 authors in locations on both sides of the river from Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21.
