Vanessa McKuin

Partner Manager, Arkansas Public Media

As Partner Manager for Arkansas Public Media, Vanessa manages the non-journalism aspects of the Regional Journalism Collaboration, working with the station partners and local partners to manage finances, coordinate promotions and community engagement, and seek funding for the partnership. 

Vanessa holds a B.A. degree in Art from Hendrix College in Conway and a M.S. degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute in New York City. Before joining Arkansas Public Media, she was the Executive Director of Preserve Arkansas for 8 years.

Each year hundreds of young people participate in the City of Little Rock's Summer Youth Employment Program, which places young people in jobs at 150-200 nonprofit organizations and government agencies around the city. According to Mike Sanders, the Community Resources Manager for the City of Little Rock, this year's program garnered 1,200 applicants, of which 650 were placed. 

Arkansas Business' Kyle Massey recently visited the KUAR station to interview Managing Editor Bobby Ampezzan and Partner Manager Vanessa McKuin about the new Regional Journalism Collaborative, Arkansas Public Media.
