Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge says her office will help distribute information cards to abuse victims and help develop courses for students on dating violence as she ramps up a focus on domestic violence during the coming months.
Rutledge said her office is working to help enforce two new laws intended to reduce abuse in Arkansas.
Rutledge says cards that police are required to provide to domestic violence victims will also be printed and distributed by her office. The cards include information about victim's rights, available assistance and officers' contact information.
Her office is also organizing "train the trainer" programs for school officials to implement a law requiring dating violence courses in health curricula.
