Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel is to take part in a United Nations hearing in Geneva to review the United States' efforts to implement an international treaty to eliminate racial discrimination. McDaniel will join a U.S. delegation in speaking to the U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Wednesday.
The delegation will take questions from the committee on Wednesday and Thursday. The U.S. delegation includes staff from the U.S. State Department, Justice Department, Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and the mayor of Birmingham, Alabama.
Ambassador Keith Harper, the U.S. representative to the U.N. Human Rights Council, will lead the delegation.
