Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has been released from a Little Rock hospital after he was admitted a day earlier for an adverse reaction to a new medication.

McDaniel was released from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on Tuesday. A day earlier, the attorney general was admitted as a precaution because the new medication had caused his blood pressure to spike.

Attorney General's Office spokesman Aaron Sadler says McDaniel is doing well and appreciates the prayers and support he's heard from around the state. Sadler says McDaniel is eager to return to work.
