A man charged in the killing of a Hot Springs Village police dispatcher has been sentenced to six years in prison for violating the terms of his probation.
Kevin Duck received the maximum sentence for violating terms of his probation from an unrelated 2009 aggravated assault conviction.
Duck is now charged with first-degree murder for the 2011 death of his girlfriend, police dispatcher Dawna Natzke.
Officials recommended revoking Duck's probation after Duck's arrest last November on the murder charge.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Duck was also accused of violating his probation by not reporting an address change to his probation officer and for not seeking permission to travel out of state.
Duck's attorney, Clay Janske, says Duck had acquired a Louisiana driver's license because he was working on pipelines.
