Arkansas Reader's Map To Debut

Apr 12, 2016

A new map and website celebrating nearly 460 Arkansas writers is being launched Tuesday. It's called "A Reader's Map of Arkansas." It serves as an update of a similar work published by the late poet C.D. Wright in 1994.

KUAR's Chris Hickey spoke with Hope Coulter of the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation, who has led the Reader's Map Project since 2013.

The map will be revealed at a launch party at 6:30pm Tuesday, April 12, at the Oxford American Annex at 1300 South Main Street in Little Rock. It will be sold for $10. Proceeds will go toward the Central Arkansas Library System Foundation. The map will also be available during the Arkansas Literary Festival.
