Arkansas Red Cross Teams Go To Mississippi For Storm Recovery Efforts

Dec 28, 2015

American Red Cross volunteers say they're headed to Tupelo, Mississippi, to assist after storms there left a path of destruction and killed 10 people in the northern part of that state.

Since Wednesday, Red Cross disaster teams had been providing for care for victims across counties in Arkansas, which was also walloped by severe storms.

The relief agency says Sunday that three caseworkers from Craighead, Lawrence and Sharp Counties plan to meet individually with disaster victims in Holly Springs and other tornado damaged areas in Mississippi to assess and care for the immediate disaster needs.
