Arkansas Tech Trustees To Select New President
The Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees has scheduled a special meeting in which they're expected to select and introduce the university's next president.
The board is to meet Tuesday afternoon on the south lawn of the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center on the ATU campus in Russellville. Gov. Mike Beebe is expected to attend.
The event is open to the public with a reception in the Pendergraft Library and Technology Center to follow.
The board has been seeking a successor to long-time President Robert Brown. Brown has served as ATU president since 1993 and announced in August that he would step down at the end of the 2013-14 academic year.
