Bridge Painting In Little Rock Will Mean Lane Closure

Nov 4, 2013

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says a lane of Highway 10 in Little Rock will be closed this week.

The work will be on the arched bridge located between Chester Street and Dillard's corporate headquarters in Little Rock. The work will require closing the westbound outside lane of the highway - which is also known as Cantrell Road - near the bridge.

The bridge was built in 1927 and is 135 feet long and 30 feet wide. The latest survey indicates an average of 15,500 vehicles use the bridge each day.

The lane will be closed Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.  Traffic will be controlled using cones and warning signs.
