Cotton, Pryor Tangle In Debate Over Health Law's Impact

Mark Pryor Tom Cotton Senate

Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor says Republican rival Tom Cotton has "no answer" on what would happen with Arkansas receiving coverage under the federal health care overhaul.

It's a law that Cotton called a "disaster" that must be repealed as the two squared off in their second televised debate.

The two candidates sparred over the health law, the farm bill, student loans and other issues in the debate at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville on Tuesday night.

The Arkansas Senate race is one of the most expensive and heated in the country. It's key to Republicans' efforts to win a majority. The two candidates and outside groups have spent more than $34 million on the race.
