A federal judge Thursday set a trial date for a lawsuit about the March oil spill in Mayflower.

U.S. District Judge James Moody scheduled a pre-trial conference with the state of Arkansas, federal proseuctors, and the ExxonMobil Pipeline Company for Feb. 23, 2015. The trial is expected to begin the following day.

Moody also set deadlines for an array of motions and reports to be filed in advance of the trial. The lawsuit filed jointly by federal prosecutors and Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel seeks civil penalties against ExxonMobil.
