Instructors in the Bentonville, Greenbrier, Marion and Poyen school districts have been named finalists for the 2015 Arkansas Teacher of the Year award.

The four finalists were announced Tuesday in a ceremony at the state Capitol. They are among 15 teachers who were identified as regional finalists for the honor.

The finalists are:

-Donna Dillahunty, who teaches fifth grade English language arts at Marion Intermediate School
-Lindsay Griffin, who teaches sixth grade literacy at Greenbrier Middle School
-Jayna Moffit, who teaches seventh and eighth grade math at Lincoln Junior High School
-Ouida Newton, who teaches seventh to 12th grade math at Poyen High School.

The selection committee will conduct visits at the teachers' schools over the next few weeks, and the winner will be honored at a surprise event.
