In Governor's Race, Ross Fundraising Outpaces Hutchinson In September

Asa Hutchinson Mike Ross
Talk Business & Politics

Democrat Mike Ross says he raised more than $540,000 last month in his bid for Arkansas governor, outpacing the fundraising reported by Republican rival Asa Hutchinson.

Ross's campaign said the September fundraising figures means he's raised more than $6.2 million since launching his bid for Arkansas governor last year. His campaign did not say how much he spent during the month or how much cash he has on hand.

Hutchinson announced raising $360,000 during the month, bringing his total fundraising to more than $3.8 million. Hutchinson reported more than $241,000 in the bank, and spent more than $785,000 last month.

The two ex-congressmen are running to succeed Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe, who is barred by term limits from seeking re-election.
