A pre-trial hearing for man accused of kidnapping and killing a realtor last year has been postponed so an expert can review results of a mental exam.
Arron Lewis was charged in Beverly Carter's disappearance and death.
A half-dozen law officers escorted him into court Monday for a brief appearance.
Lewis' attorney, Bill James, asked to postpone the hearing so he can have an expert review the mental evaluation he requested. James says the evaluation was not to determine Lewis' competency, but that he's considering all options as he shapes Lewis' defense. The hearing was rescheduled for Nov. 16.
Carter's body was found in a shallow grave a few days after she was reported missing when she didn't return home after showing a house near Scott in eastern Pulaski County.
