Huckabee Appears Safe Bet For First 2016 GOP Debate Stage

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee appears likely to be polling well enough to be on the 2016 GOP presidential primary debate stage next week barring any drastic swings through the weekend.

Huckabee is one of 16 Republican candidates and to the narrow the field the Fox News-hosted debate will average the last five polls as of August 4th, Tuesday.

In a mid-to-late July polling average from Real Clear Politics Huckabee, who now resides in Florida, placed a comfortable 5th place with 6.3 percent support.

The RCP average from July 13 to July 28: Trump (20.8), Walker (13.7), Bush (12.2), Rubio (6.8), Huckabee (6.3), Carson (6.2), Paul (5.5), Cruz (5.2), Kasich (3.5) Christie (3).
