Asa Hutchinson will soon become Arkansas' 46th elected governor.
Hutchinson is scheduled to be sworn in Tuesday morning, with his inaugural address to follow at noon from the steps of the Capitol.
According to remarks released in advance of his speech, Hutchinson will call on Arkansans to "embrace the energy of change and all the opportunity it brings without forsaking our foundation."
Hutchinson will say later this month whether he wants to keep or change Arkansas' current "private option" Medicaid plan. Under the program, the state uses federal dollars to purchase insurance for the state's poor. He's also expected during the upcoming legislative session to pursue tax cuts for the middle class and address prison overcrowding.
