Readers may be wondering why their social feeds were filled with images of buttons, custom coloring pages and crowds across the nation nestled on chairs and floor pillows.
Last night, fans eagerly awaiting the debut of Invisibilia's second season got an exclusive sneak peek when attending one of 200+ Listening Parties around the country hosted by NPR Member stations and fellow fans. Orchestrated by NPR's Generation Listen, the National Listening Party Event spanned all time zones and featured listening parties across 32 states and three countries (Brazil, the UK and Australia).
Access to a special DIY listening party kit ahead of time made it simple for individual fan and Member station hosts to plan their Invisibilia parties.
Listening parties — a key part of Gen Listen's DNA — aim to connect people with NPR, to new ideas, and to each other. Each month, listeners can download a new kit featuring NPR stories around a specific theme, or that highlight a particular podcast or program.
