Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Mark Darr says he made errors on campaign finance reports that are now being questioned by a political website.

In a series of reports this week, the Democrat-leaning Blue Hog Report says Darr's campaign reports listed expenses like four season tickets to Arkansas Razorback games, expensive dinners and charges at convenience stores as fundraisers.

KUAR's Michael Hibblen spoke with Matt Campbell who runs the website.  You can hear the interview above.  KUAR also reached out to Darr for comment.  Lieutenant Governor's office Communications Director Amber Pool referred calls to Chase Dugger who is with Darr's campaign for the Republican nomination for the 4th Congressional district.

Dugger didn't return the call, but a written statement by Darr was released later in the day:

It has come to my attention that I have made some errors on my debt reporting forms. I am going through those now and working with the Ethics Commission to ensure everything is done properly and all debt relief is accounted for. I hope to have any issue we find resolved shortly.

Michael Hibblen was a journalist for KUAR News from May 2009 — December 2022. During his final 10 years with the station, he served as News Director. In January 2023, he was hired by Arkansas PBS to become its Senior Producer/ Director of Public Affairs.
