NPR In The News: Summer of '63 Edition

The NPR special series The Summer of '63 culminated yesterday with the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. As other media followed and discussed the events happening here in DC, NPR's work was highlighted and our journalists were asked to be a part of their conversations.

Wired shared information about the Code Switch "time-traveling" Twitter feed @Todayin1963. The article said, "Even 50 years later, there's something momentous about watching those events unfold in real time, tweeted like the modern breaking news we've breathlessly followed on social media."

Michele Norris joined MSNBC's Morning Joe to talk about the legacy of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream Speech" and also expand on thoughts she shared in her contribution to this week's TIME magazine. In case you missed it, here's the segment:
