Playas Gonna Play: NPR Keeps Your SCOTUS Game On Point

The United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) either is the ultimate wing-man or the most obstructive third wheel.

Think about it this way: Just when an issue is but one drink away from being cut off and exiled to the furthest corner from the band, in swoops SCOTUS!

After lending a sober ear to all sides (even the most belligerent ones), SCOTUS either tosses out the issue altogether or rallies the entire bar for a round of drinks on its behalf. No one really knows what hit them for ≈25 days (after which rulings typically go into effect). That's quite the recovery period. Cheers!

Don't stress, NPR is happy to be your designated driver** through it all. As major decisions from the High Court roll out, check back in with us for information on the major players buying rounds - and how to stay ahead of the game.

**Spare us the "Hall Monitor" wise-cracks - we've heard them all before.
