Storm Victims In Three Arkansas Counties Eligible For Aid

Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe says residents in three Arkansas counties who were affected by the severe storms and flooding that began in late June can apply for state aid.

Beebe's office announced Tuesday that $300,000 was being released from the Governor's Disaster Fund to provide assistance to storm victims.

Eligible homeowners and renters who lost their primary homes in Monroe, St. Francis or Woodruff counties will be able to apply for disaster assistance from July 31 through Aug. 13. Applications can be made online at adem.arkansas.gov or by calling the Arkansas Disaster Assistance Hotline at 1-888-683-2336.

Cities in Cross, Jackson, Monroe, Prairie, St. Francis and Woodruff counties will also be able to request supplemental disaster relief under the State's Public Assistance Program.
