Study of Little Rock Congregations Gauges Political Involvement Of City's Faithful

Apr 12, 2017

How does going to church affect your view of politics? How does the message from the pulpit influence your level of community involvement? These were central issues in a research project involving dozens of students from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Clinton School of Public Service.

The week before Election Day 2016, volunteers distributed questionnaires at religious congregations around Little Rock and later compiled the results. KUAR’s Chris Hickey spoke with the study’s director, Rebecca Glazier of the UA Little Rock School of Public Affairs.

The 2016 Little Rock Congregations Study will be a topic of discussion Thursday at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s annual Racial Attitudes Conference.
