Supreme Court Jusice Antonin Scalia To Speak In Arkansas

U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia is to speak in north Arkansas Thursday evening.

The program at the Mountain Home campus of Arkansas State University is free and open to the general public, though tickets are required. A limited number are available by calling 870-508-6280.

The event, “A Conversation with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia,” begins at 6:30 at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center. Tickets can be picked up at the box office.

Scalia is the longest serving justice on the high court, having been appointed by President Reagan in 1986. He's considered the intellectual anchor of the conservative wing on the high court.

Photographs can only be taken during the first two minutes and last two minutes of his presentation. Recording of any kind will not be allowed.

Scalia also spoke in Arkansas in February when he was part of a lecture series in Fort Smith.
