Another set of Arkansas universities is reporting enrollment growth and it is record breaking in Magnolia. Both the University of Arkansas and Southern Arkansas University report a growing student population to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

The campus in Fayetteville has enrollment growth of almost 2 percent. At 26,754 students the UA’s flagship institution boats the highest total enrollment of any Arkansas institute of higher learning. The freshman class also grew by over 350 students compared to fall 2014.

The biggest percentage growth for Arkansas colleges appears to be at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. SAUreports a 16.7 percent increase in students, breaking enrollment records set the previous fall. The campus, which added an Engineering program in 2013, has over 4,100 students.

UCA previously reported a nearly a 0.5 percent increase, UALR stands at 1.2 percent growth, and ASU in Jonesboro grew by 2-percent.
