Joss Whedon Loves NPR

Fans of writer/producer/director Joss Whedon don't just kinda like him. They REALLY LOVE him. He's responsible for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, and movies like Cabin in the Woods and The Avengers, as well as the un-categorize-able Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. This weekend he has a modern, black and white movie adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in theaters. Whedon came in to talk to Morning Edition Host Renee Montagne about shooting the film in two weeks, entirely at his house.

Chef Roblé Ali Hearts NPR

Celebrity chef and Bravo reality TV star Roblé Ali stopped by the NPR New York bureau to talk to Tell Me More guest host Celeste Headlee about his cooking, catering and staying skinny.

The 29-year-old New Yorker got his start in a professional kitchen at age 15. Now, he's at the top, running his own catering business called Chef Roblé & Co., and cooking for President Obama, Vanessa Williams and Michael Jackson, just to name a few.

Richard Linklater, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke Heart NPR

Before Midnight is the third movie about Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delpy), and takes place 23 years after the first one (Before Sunrise) and 15 years after the second (Before Sunset). All three films were written and directed by Richard Linklater. For Before Midnight and Before Sunset, Delpy and Hawke joined Linklater as co-writers. All three came in to NPR West to talk with Fresh Air Host Terry Gross about the popular trilogy.

Clairy Browne Loves NPR

The Australian group Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes has a new album out in the United States called Baby Caught the Bus. While their sound has been pegged as everything from gospel to doo-wop, the group really defies the confines of a musical category.

Come Visit The NPR DC Headquarters; Daily Tours Begin In June

Just in time for your summer vacation, NPR is opening its doors to the public for daily tours of our new Washington, D.C. headquarters. Each weekday at 11 a.m., a one-hour, free guided tour will take you through the NPR Newsroom and studios, and tell you about our history, mission and give you a glimpse of daily life here.

Earlier this year, the NPR headquarters moved a few blocks to the Washington, D.C., neighborhood of NoMa (or north of Massachusetts Ave). We've now settled in and are ready for visitors. Public tours will start on Monday, June 3.
