Arkansas Awarded Federal Preschol Grant Worth Nearly $15 Million

Federal education officials say Arkansas has been awarded a nearly $15 million grant from the Preschool Development Grants program.

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the $14.9 million grant. Arkansas is one of 18 states awarded grants.

States receiving grants are to develop or expand high-quality preschool programs in regionally diverse communities-from urban neighborhoods to small towns.
