Arkansas Treasurer Dennis Milligan says he will seek charges against an attorney for a former employee after he and the attorney had a physical altercation.

Milligan filed a police report Tuesday saying attorney Luther Sutter pushed him and caused him to have chest pains before a 9 a.m. deposition in a defamation lawsuit filed by a former treasurer's office employee.

The report filed with the Little Rock Police Department says Sutter entered the court room while on his cellphone and cursed as part of that telephone conversation. He then apologized to Milligan's wife, Tina.

Sutter and Milligan both say the incident then escalated but differ on their accounts of who initiated physical contact.

Sutter says he pushed the treasurer in self-defense. Milligan says he plans to seek charges.
