Cotton: $1.3M Raised In First 3 Months Of '14

Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton says he's raised more than $1.35 million in the first three months of the year in his bid to unseat Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor this fall.

Cotton's campaign on Monday said it'll report raising more than $4.8 million since announcing last year he would challenge Pryor. The campaign did not say how much money Cotton would report having on hand for his bid.

The Arkansas Senate race is one of the most closely watched in the nation, with outside groups spending millions on television ads in the state. Pryor was first elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2008 without a Republican opponent.

Pryor's fundraising numbers were not available Monday. Tuesday is the deadline to file fundraising reports with the Federal Election Commission.
