The Color Dash is a fun-filled experience for walkers, runners, and people of all ages, shapes, and sizes! The dash is not timed - it's more about sharing memories, laughing, and getting colored like a bag of Skittles than competing. As participants run, walk, or even crawl the course, our Dasher-Splasher volunteers will splash them with special colorful dust. The result: A white T-shirted community turned into a rainbow of colorful faces.
Proceeds from The Color Dash: Conway will go to the Friends of KLRE/KUAR to support the programming you hear on your favorite radio stations. Event partners include Windstream Communications and Hendrix College.
The route will start at the Village at Hendrix, 1700 Altus St., and wind through Hendrix College. Packet Pick-up starts at 8 a.m. with the race to start at 10 a.m.
Get your family and friends together, or Dash on your own. Either way, enjoy the dash, the music, and the color while YOU help a great cause! We look forward to seeing you there!
The Color Dash is a Minnesota-based organization whose mission is to raise local money for a local cause. The Dash started as a fundraiser for a suicide awareness & prevention film, and has grown in its first year to over 30+ dashes, benefitting abuse centers, youth athletic complexes, orphanage planting, animal rescue shelters, and many more. The Dash will bring the color, and all you have to do is let the color move you.

Here is a list of commonly asked questions and answers about the Color Dash:
What is the COLOR made of?
The Color Powder is made from food-grade cornstarch and food-grade coloring. The Color Powder is quickly cleaned up from the course post-event by the Color Dash crew using leaf blowers. The powder dissolves when it is blown away after the run. Any color powder that may remain will be instantly dissolved with the first rain.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
We will DASH rain or shine, as long as it’s safe to be outside.
Is the color permanent?
We suggest shaking off the dust after the Dash, before you get in your car. You will however need a shower to return to your normal skin tone. If you would like the Color to stay on your clothes as a souvenir you will need to spray your clothes with vinegar, then press them with a warm iron. After that, you should be good to go.
Are pets allowed to Dash?
Nope.
What are the age limits?
That’s the great thing – there are no age limits! However, if you are walking with young children we suggest that you bring a stroller. A 5K is a pretty good distance for the little ones.
Is The Color Dash timed?
Nope! We are here for a great time – not to keep the time!
