Lane Closures Could Create Holiday Delays On Arkansas Highways

Arkansas highway officials are warning drivers that they could face construction zones and possible delays this week as more people travel during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The State Highway and Transportation Department says lane closures along Interstate 40 in Russellville and Forrest City will be in place for the holiday.

There are also lane closures on Interstate 55 in Mississippi County at Osceola, on Interstate 530 at East End, on Interstate 540 at Fort Smith and on U.S. 67 at Bald Knob.

Highway officials are encouraging drivers to visit IDriveArkansas.com before hitting the road for holiday travel.
