Arkansas is holding two hearings on proposals to require participants in the state's compromise Medicaid expansion to contribute to health savings accounts and face new limits on emergency transportation.
The Department of Human Services on Thursday plans to hold its first hearing on the proposed changes, which are set to be submitted to the federal government next month.
Thursday's hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service auditorium in Little Rock. A second hearing will be held 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center's Henslee Conference Center in Pine Bluff.
Under the private option, Arkansas is using federal Medicaid funds to purchase private insurance for low-income residents.
