You're Invited to Our Open House Feb. 23!
It's our 40th Anniversary Celebration! And you are invited!!
This year is our 40th Anniversary of broadcasting in central Arkansas, and we will have several special events throughout the year to celebrate!
Feb. 23: An Open House & Fundraiser
As a kick-off for our year-long celebration we will have a one-day fund drive on Saturday, February 23.
During the drive, we will host an Open House here at our studios in University Plaza at the corner of University and Asher Avenue in Little Rock. You’ll be able to see a fund drive in progress, tour the studios, and enjoy birthday cake.
The Open House hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so this is your special invitation to meet station staff and producers.
Mary Twedt, host of Arkansas Cooks, will be doing an hour-long live program in the studio from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. We will enjoy recipe sharing and other fun food-related talk. The on-air drive is to raise funds for new audio control boards. The ones we are using are 16 years old and can no longer be adequately repaired.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation toward this important cause. Just check the box that says you want your donation to go toward the Special 40th Anniversary Equipment Fund. So join in the fun and enjoy this chance to celebrate with us!
Other Special Events Planned
Other special events we have planned for this year include bringing a national public radio personality to Little Rock, redesigning our website, and a music event or beer tasting. Stay tuned for more information!
