Thanksgiving Special Programming on KUAR

KUAR will air special programming on Thanksgiving Day from 2-4 p.m.

Ties the Bind: A StoryCorps 10th Anniversary Special will air 2-3 p.m. and again at 9 p.m. It looks back on the last decade of the program that celebrates everyday people on public radio.

It's just in time for the National Day of Listening, Friday, Nov. 29. StoryCorps has online resources to help you take part and record the stories of your family and friends.

At 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, KUAR will air Rising Seas, it's the latest installment from Burn: An Energy Journal. Host Alex Chadwick looks at how rising seas will affect cities like Miami.

KUAR will air Rising Seas a second time Friday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. after Haney's Jazz.

Neil Conan, former host of NPR's Talk of the Nation also contributes a segment from Greenland, to take a firsthand look at some of the melting ice that's adding to the world's sea levels.
